I realize that not everyone is so negative and racist.

I don't believe every white person is responsible for slavery.

Politics is a game. Black pride is POLITICAL in nature. Black pageants are part of the Black pride movement. Therefore, Black pageants are a result of a political drive to mobilize black voters to act as a block.

If blacks want to continue to strategize politics well, blacks need to align themselves with Latinos.

No.. they are beating us at our own game... just go look at the inner cities and see how well they treat what they got for free... my god.. I am soo proud!!!

The way they destroy the living quarters.. demonstrate and start mobs.. it is just sooo inspiring. Makes me want to go pay some taxes.

In keeping with the idea that politics is a GAME, not some big ideological war or war against oppression--

If Latinos and Blacks want to push their own agenda, they would be more effective if they aligned themselves. Population stats are probably in support of my belief.

Not that I am against whites...at all....blacks and browns have a slightly different agenda than most whites. Perception is everything, too. I mean that blacks and browns PERCEIVE that they need to vote in blocks.

But we really need to align ourselves to prevent the obliteration of the middle class. That would be smarter.

But rich whites know that if they keep the color barrier perception alive that we will fight amongst ourselves for positioning in politics, thus not aligning as rich vs. poor/middle class, but removing our political power by aligning with cultural/racial affiliations.

The game has changed, because rich whites have caught on to how to effectively remove the black agenda and keep poor whites in their place as well.

Makes you wonder about the allowed influx of Mexicans...

so you're saying this is a rich vs poor thing than just a race issue too. Because people tend to forget there are large numbers of poor white folks in rural areas that are just as dependent on the welfare system as their black counterparts.

I only scrolled through this thread, but why do people always think whites have this "agenda" to keep minorities at a certain place. How exactly are they planning this- do they have meetings or something??? I don't know if I buy that idea...

The truth of the matter is that being a white american male or female is a better deal than baing any other race here in the u.s. So because we have it so good and these other races such as blacks and hispanics have such huge labels on them..there is a social loop hole for them. Its kind of a sympathy thing...we let them segregate themselves and exclude because they do have it so bad that we decide as a society, "why not let them do thier thing" They the black and hispanics dont hold the same view becasue they look up to our privlages and it just doesnt seem fair that we act as though we are above them becasue they get that feeling on a day to day basis from us already.
