Would chicken sandwiches from fast food places be good to put in your diet?

What about a BBQ Chicken sandwich from Carls JR. which I dont know if they have those places outside of CA. What about a BK BROILER or the regular chicken sandwich from Burger king and the cajun chicken sandwich from McDonalds. Are these chicken sandwiches loaded with fat? Would they be good to add in your diet.

I think it depends on what type of diet your on. If your on a low-fat/high carb diet then the carl's jr grilled chicken are good.

These chicken sandwhichs are not loaded with fat if you compare them to other menu choices. But if you compare them to homemade lean chicken breasts, then they are higher in fat. I think all 3 of the enteries you mentioned are around 20-30% calories from fat(just a guess). In my opinion the carl's junior grill chicken is the closest to real chicken out of those 3. Mcdonalds, also seems to be like real chicken but for some reason I dont like it,it seems as if they dipped it in oil or something. The burger king one is ok. If your goal is low-fat and eating at fast food joints then sandwhiches like that are your best bet, or the chicken bowl at jack in the box.

If your goal is low fat then MRP's are a better choice. But if you want real food, I can't think of anything,I'm sure theres some places out there with lower fat enteries than those 3 you mentioned though. Eating cans of tuna(or other fish) is another idea.

There's this place called juicy burger. They have a chicken sandwhich there,it looks like real chicken. The downside is it cost alot, like 5-6 for one sandwhich. Also, you have to wait 10 min.

I'm from Cali. and to tell you the truth; the only feasible place to eat "clean" (low-fat) is in subway. You can get a 6" sandwich with (skinless-boneless) chicken breasts for around $4. Compared to the 3.25 you pay for a grilled "chicken" burger at a fast food joint and you can see the advantage of Subway.
P.S. only around 4 g of fat per sandwich

In my opinion, the subway roasted chicken is very similar to the BK broiler. It's not real chicken. Remember the bread portion of subway sandwhichs is much bigger than a BK broiler bun. I think that is the reason it has a lower percent of calories from fat.

agreed, all fast food places use cheap high fat meats. accept it and choose to eat it or not. If it's that or go catabolic (and hungry :bawling: ) then eat it! but don't look towards your next healthy meal at burger king.

my opinion is that if you eat fast food, screw the "meal" and get two or three $0.99 burgers and eat those. scrape that mayo off, and the "special sauce" off and all that crap. Wendy's and burger king have been good lately. BK broilers are good, Mcdonalds fried cajun McShit is shit.

OH! and If you are bulking, don't worry about it. lee priest's favorite place to eat is KFC so enjoy, just don't get a job at the freaking place so you can pig out capice?

My favorite grilled chicken sandwich is from Wendy's. It is an actual grilled chicken breast (not processed) with lettuce, tomato, and honey mustard sauce. I believe the total fat content is 5 grams. I sometimes swing by a Taco bell, and get about 3 or 4 chicken soft tacos without cheese. Just lettuce, white meat and pico de gallo. Very low in fat and tastes pretty good.

i got an email from musclemaster a week or 2 ago about this.
basically bk broilers aren't bad. like 5-7g fat (bouble that w/ mayo) but the fried, breaded chickens are nearly 50g (mostly saturated) fat
that goes for pretty much all the major fast food chains
i try to stick to the bk broilers (-mayo) but u cant beat the 39cent cheeseburgers once in awhile on mondays.

My favorite to, except I drop the honey mustard sauce and get ketchup or mustard!!!
