Wish me luck here guys

Oh man, I'm still holding out though!

You have to be strong and hope for the best

get well doggie

The vet gave me some pain meds and antibiotics for him. Hopefully in a couple of days we'll see marked improvement and get good news from the lab.

I'm staying positive

everything is 50/50 at this point

just be there for him(I know u already are)

I'm taking my dog to the vet at 1:00, I know he has something serious wrong going on. He's almost 9 yrs old and has been the best dog I could ever imagine. Just his being around helped me through my divorce and a number of other rough times. His personality is just unreal and I know I'll never be able to find another dog that'll be able to come close to him.

He's always been so lively and happy up until a couple of weeks ago. He's got arthritis so I thought he was just slowing down because of the cold. I got him glucosamine and it didn't really do much. This weekend, he started walking like his left rear leg wasn't working well. Sunday I noticed his whole leg was swollen and felt warm. The vet couldn't get us in until today and I'm just really afraid I'm going to get the worst news possible. Fucking kid, I love him so much. I just want him to be ok.

man that does suck. i have lost a couple. i hope everything is ok. i had a 220lb rotti that was old and had bad authritis. we got him for free as a puppy because he had a defect in his back knees that required an expensive surgery. that and the fact that he was verry large (not fat) made his authritis problem bad to the point that he couldnt get up without crying. i asked a vet if i tried tylenol authritis that i buy from the drug store would hurt him. being the jew that she was told me that it wouldnt hurt him but it couldnt possibly be as good as the vet meds she was selling me for 130.00 per month. so i tried the tylenol and it worked so much better i couldnt freaking believe it that 10yr old dog was like a puppy again playing with the pug and cat. so if it is authritis i would try asking about that and dosage.

He's not going to make it. He won't drink anything, wouldn't even eat a piece of provolone, which is the only people food I'd ever give him, and he won't pick his head up. His front left leg has started to swell too which means it's spreading. I had to carry him outside this morning to go to the bathroom. I had to hold him up at the tree he always marks. I'll give him until Friday to improve and I'll put him down. He doesn't deserve this pain after how good he has been.
