I'm trying to fix friend of mines Dell computer.. its an 8400 so its about 3 years old.. He started having it freeze on start up or boot up extremely slow... he had no important suff on the hard drive so I reinstalled Win XP on it and all the correct drivers..still got the freeze and slow boot up.
I had another hard drive around so I put that one in, did windows and now it freezes at the Windows start up..still.. it will run in safe mode though. The Bios is up to date, the computer is dust free in the inside, all fans are working.... I can't get into windows to put the video drivers in but I don't think thats the problem. I have it booting from the Sata drive first also (Where windows is0 Any thoughts or ideas?? Im thinking something may be wrong with the motherboard...but it does run in Safe Mode...
