Will PROSCAR shrink prostate???

Well its been a few weeks and my cuzs now has some Proscar/ finasteride.
He starting a dbol, prop, var cycle even though he is still suffering from symptoms of an enlarged prostate (swelling, not holding urine for long, up in the night, HARD/STIFF CHODE ETCETC)... not the brightest tool in the shed.

QUESTION:Will taking the proscar shrink his prostate? and what dosage would be appropriate. Hes about 5'9, jacked/fat at 210 pounds.

PS. hes only 1 week into his dbol, hence aborting the cycle until hes back to health is possible assuming hes willing. always much appreciated

oh yeah he seems to be receeding a fair bit aswell, hence id assume the proscar will aid him in this also?

Here's a little info I found from webmd.com

Proscar was one of the first drugs used to treat BPH. It works by inhibiting the production of the hormone dihydrotestosterone (DHT), which affects the growth of the prostate gland. Proscar appears to be most helpful for men with larger prostates. More common are drugs to relax the muscle in the prostate to reduce the tension on the urine tube. These include Hytrin, Cardura, and Flomax.

i think dutasteride will do the job...duta is more powerfull than finasteride and both are designed to protect the prostate....but i don't think it will work for the hair cause he's using dbol ...

I use Dutasteride. You'll shed a bit of hair to start with but thats the hair you were going to lose shortly anyhow. It works alright and the sides aren't nearly as bad as I thought. Can still get erections and have sex. It has lowered my sex drive a little, but thats not a bad thing!!!

Can't believe you can't get an answer for this on here. Always amazes me how little people know when it actually comes down to prevenative measures that matter. PROSCAR is on the market for this exact purpose...TO SHRINK AN ENLARGING PROSTATE. It stops DHT conversion which helps with male pattern baldness. YES it does kill your sex drive. Been on for 3 years now.
