Been together for 7 yrs just got married back in June. She heard about something that happened in the past like yrs n yrs ago... Im at work, I get a phone call and its her telling me she is leaving me. Come home to most of her stuff gone. I feel empty, like theres nothing in me. Its the worst feeling ever ! I dont know what to do at this point, I tried talking to her but I either get hanged up on or I wish you would just die comments. Is there life after this? I mean, I dont feel like I should be with anyone else but her. We connected so well together... uugh..

a) MANY times these things work themselves out. there's still hope.

b) was this "thing that happened yrs ago" something you should be held accountable for? i.e. cheating on her? or was she being ridiculous?

c) there is ALWAYS life after anything. it doesn't seem like it at the time, but it's true.

if shes not willing to at least try and talk through it and make it work, and had her stuff gone that fast, then she is probably already moved in with someone else bro.

either way it sucks man...but if it something fucked up and you betrayed her trust while you were together, then you have to understand her mindset.

No one likes to see a long term relationship end, but it happens.

When a relationship ends it's just like someone died, it takes a period of time to mourn the loss.

I hope this doesn't sound cold or anything, i mean do all you can, get counseling and everything, but it is what it is..

I dont think many people will just up and leave a marriage if they are DEEPLY inlove with the other person like that without thinking everything through and talking to you first....imo

She found out I messed with her best friend which happened 3 yrs ago. I didnt even have sex with her but thats what she is assuming. I tried telling her the truth but as much of a whore her friend is she doesnt belive it. I told her to call her and ask her for herself if we did and of course she wont. I have mixed feelings, most of them just wants me to try my best to get her back. I have been plenty drunk and NEVER did I "accidentally" bump into another man's lips if I didn't want to.

There is more to this story (meaning what your wife is feeling obviously) then we will ever know and honestly, it isn't our business.

Bottom line is, if you were my husband, I would be hurt - yes, but I wouldn't just up and leave over a drunken kiss... unless it was "the last straw" of sorts... but then again, I am not like most other women.

I have been cheated on plenty and I know how much it hurts but to just up and leave over a kiss, that sounds fishy. I mean that she must have been unhappy about other stuff too.

Try to work it out. She will have to ultimately decide if she will trust you again. And she is also obviously hurting that she was so betrayed by a woman who SHE THOUGHT was her best friend and the both of you to keep this ridiculous secret all of these years.

Leave it alone until she wants to speak with you. Then if you two can work it out, your marriage will be stronger than ever. If not, then it is best that the two of you move on separately and learn from the experience.
 
i think it comes down to when she found out. if she found out the day before and this is an impulsive thing, then my advice would be to wait for her anger to subside, and youll make up. if this isnt impulsive, as a few others have said, then there may be underlying issues

either way i would see a relationship counsellor.
