Why the hell am I gassing so soon now?

Im on my 2nd month of JuJitsu and my stamina is lower now than when I started. I was rolling for 5 minutes without gassing but these past two weeks I have been running totally out of air within 30 seconds. And i mean where I almost pass out. It almost feels like a anxiety attack or something. I also think I might have a sinus infection. Not sure if that could be the cause or not? Maybe asthma? I have always had breathing problems(bad sinuses) while growing up but not near this bad. I am going to go see a doc next week. Any suggestions?
 
Are you holding your breath instead of correct breathing? do you breathe with your chest or with full diaphram expansion into your stomach?

maybe blood pressure is not right.
let us know what the Doc says.

Are you on the juice? If so alot of guys that juice need more oxygen to feed larger muscles, thus they gas out.
 
try relaxing a bit... use technique and purposely use little strength even if it means getting tapped a lot more

explain to your instructor something is going on and that you need to try some things to figure out why you are gassing..
 
Get a blood test to check your B Vitamin levels AND your hemoglobin levels (red blood cell count) Just in case!!!

I have an intestinal disease which causes me to loose hemoglobin and when I have flare ups and low hemoglobin I have ZERO energy!

Yes actually I am in the process of changing jobs. Are you saying stress?
My Doc took my blood and said everything is fine. Im thinking its the juice im on. I have gained about 15 pounds on this last cycle so I am thinking that cardio hasnt caught up yet with the mass. It seems to be getting a little better but not much!
 
well there ya go..

what are you taking now? how long and what dosage?

I was thinking if you had a more physical job
or stress
but certainly an extra 15 lbs of weight to move around on the matt is going to have an impact
 
eq ... look into it if you are gonna juice and train .. if you are a test athlete you need to be even more careful

I'm not sure Steroids go well with Grappling
a lot of the injuries common in grappling are ligaments and tendons, and those are the muscles that Steroids kinda make more vulnerable if I recall correctly
 
there are some out there that increase collagen synthesis and/or fluid in the joints. you would definately want to be careful with anything that dramatically decreases collagen synthesis.

I just finished my cycle last week. And I am having joint problems. But I dont think its all from the juice. I take another medication that one of the side effects causes joint pain!

Cyp 600 per week- 18 weeks
Prop 100 EOD/ first 8 weeks
EQ 600 per week for first 12 weeks
 
It is the Juice!

Fina always geve me shortness of breath.
