Yes, I know the slang meaning for it to. But HOW did it get its slang meaning? I am going deeper on to how it came about being called "high" now do ya'll get it. And still noone has answered my question do you think about God when you are or when you have gotten high. Simple question.

I dunno. We were raised with the notion that "drugs are bad", and I was just never exposed to it.

I've gotten contact highs at concerts, and that was bad enough for me.

no need for all the hostility. it's a fair question, although not one that ever occurred or mattered to me. compared to full-on curling, this is just sweet pillow-talk.

somewhere along the line, the word 'high' (or its counterparts in other/older languages) was connotated as being good, pure, right, having more value, etc...

the obvious reason is religious. the farther up you go, the closer to the sky/heaven/gods/angels/etc...

i don't think about god that often whilst stoned, but sometimes. then again, i think of it from time to time while sober as well.

Thank you so much jack angel for your civilized answer. Maybe some others on this thread need to take some pointers from people that have learned to handle their elevated test levels without being spazes.
