Why do people want to talk to you in the gym?

So I'm finishing my workout with some abs when I notice this little guy working out with this chick and he's doing seated dumbell shoulder presses. He's using 65's and only goes part way down before pushing them back up and he does like 10 or so. Then I see him go for the 80's and even though I'm finished, I decide to stick around to watch the hilarity. It's a workout just to get them off the rack and then to the chair. He starts to kick them up and half way up it dawns on him that he has bitten off more than he can chew. He literally drops them from about 5 feet in the air. Remember, he is lifting with a chick who weighs about a quarter of what he does, and he doesn't even ask her for a spot. I laugh it off and hit the spa where I continue to hear the rumble from this jackass dropping weights. I see him as I hit the scale and he starts in with "now you're gonna see a puss" as he steps on after I get off and complaining about his weight. I weighed in at 194, but that was clothed, and he topped out at 153. Then he adds, but hell I ain't worried that much about my weight seeing how I can bench over twice my weight. I couldn't care less what he can lift, even though I'd nail my own dad if he could bench over 300lbs, I just hate when people think it's a contest to be the strongest. I've seen the guy in there before and I always notice him because he always tries lifting more than he can by using worse than horrible form. Just a rant!!

At least it was another member who was talking to you.

Last week, I was doing squats, and in the middle of my set, 1 of the trainers came up to me and tried talking to me, of course I was annoyed. And once I finished my set, I took my headphones out of my ears to ask him what he wanted.

He was like I just wanted to tell you, your squat is amazing, I've never seen a woman do rock bottom squats :worried:. I said thanks, but if you don't mind I'd like to get back to my workout. You would think a trainer would know better, guess not.

The women in my gym seem to want to talk to me while their topless in the locker room.....

:must not look at boobies, must not look: It's very disconcerting....
