Why do people value physical Beauty?

I am so wandering myself.

It is impossible for anyone to have girls more incrediblly (physically) attractive..... but there is something seriously wrong with me to value that so much.

It is the only thing I think of... even now. I walk around thinking about how easy it is for me to have this girl or that girl but.... I think.... even if I have them, there is no joy.... for some reason I have to have the most ridiculously beatiful girl or I don't feel like I am pulling my weight. WTF?

Probably so..... I have evolved .. way past 80% physically.. 99.999999999% mentally..... but even now... I cannot see past a girl's physical attractiveness... so I think you evolution thing is bunk. How does a girl that acts like that benefit the greater good down the line?

10's physically are 2's mentally... from my experience. I am tortured by my own attraction to them. I know I am better of with girl B but I pick girl A every time.. because she's hawt.

the beauty of the human physique has a primordial attraction as stated above, genetcially speaking- promoting reproduction...we as humans are inferior with our senses and therefor rely on what we see...however, "some" of us learn that mere beauty comes at many other levels.

I have dated a few male models, great to go shopping with and discuss popular culture or fashion, but really about as smart as a bag of hair.

BORING, and people do get older and their beauty changes.

This is a very ironic topic for a fitness site. Only because, I presume, over 50 % of the peeps on here really on care about how fitness makes them look as opposed to the actual health benefits.

I know this is true for me. Obviously that is not the right way to go about life...

true...but it is a foundation and discipline for other things in life...when a person is above average in appearance, it often commands a notice to be taken. a certain respect is automatic, until he or she cannot follow it up with other aspects of their life...usually this can be determined in a matter of moments.

and there is something even more mystic about beauty that us men just gotta have.

and of course, beauty helps out with the whole physical realm of things too. kissing them, having sex with them, etc.

there is no way im going to even give a woman a chance, unless i can tell by her appearances from day 1, that she will be able to turn me on.

I've met a someone who was a 10 in both areas. But she didnt want me. And then she got married to some stud (the kind who could basically pick any girl he wanted). And naturally he chose the one with the most 'mate value'.

this is true for me too. i figure without a hot woman, a job i like, and some comfort, what good is life?

why even workout or try to stay in shape, if it wont even get you what you love?
