Why are Steroids Illegal?

it doesnt matter we can all get them obviously. i think they should be illegal....the U.S. community is becoming too superficial to have steroids legal...for example, supplements like creatine, NO and protein have a bigger market than ever now because the ideal male body for a young teenager is abnormal amounts of muscle mass and an 8 pack on his stomach. girls and guys alike both believe this is the best way to look. christ i see fat girls that look like shit half the time reject average looking guys because they want that greek god look in a guy. if younger people start getting their hands on test and dbol at their local gnc there will be countless cases of gyno issues, fucked up hormone levels and blood pressure and other health issues that young guys in highschool should not have to deal with because they will be thinking "fuck research i gotta get huge and ripped!!" they will be starting out with steroids rather than baby-stepping with knowledge of how to train eat and supplement correctly and look for that instant gratification.

I don't think anybody has given the right answer. I think they are illegal because they upset the point spread in sports gambling. If a third string player can work out for a year and use roids that help him bat the ball over the fence every time the bookies can't keep track of who is going to win based on past perfomance. It changes the whole playing field and organized crime starts to lose on it's bets. Belive me they are the ones that control the laws in this country. They are the ones with the most money and power to control who is elected and what they do after they are elected.

A gun, can commit murder and a gun can save a life.
Marijuana, can cause cancer or it can help cure it.
An atomic bomb, can win a war or it can destroy everything you love.
Steroids, can destroy your body or they can cure muscular diseases
In the end, it matters who is using it and how they're using it.
If you abuse steroids, your the reason it's banned.
If you abuse Marijuana, your the reason it's banned.
If you abuse a gun and kill people like Virginia Tech shooting, your the reason it's going to be banned . . .
Just like school, one person can ruin it for everybody . .
Ex. "Stay after class everyone because of lil Joe over there."
In my opinion, they should punish those abusing.
Personally, abusing is using it when you don't NEED it.
So yes, to the Gov. we are abusers if we are using them
for the sole purpose of our looks . .
The real things that need to be banned is . .
High fructose corn syrup, sweets, cake, pudding, pie,
Mcdonalds, anything fast food . .because these things
contribute to a bigger problem than not having muscle . . . Obesity in america.

It's funny, Estrogen for women is not illegal but Testosterone is.
Things that work, that improves the population's sense of awareness, confidence and ability to oppose the Neo Conservative Cabal and the Mass Propaganda by the Media of the junk products they push on T.V.
THat's why the Government approves the Diet that makes everyone Fat, because having a fat population is good, sure it hurts productivity, but they rather lose billions in productivity than gain trillions in feeding this population bullshit of all kind.

STEROIDS ARE NOT ILLEGAL .!
They are only illegal with out doctors script many people all over the usa are on steroids.
The reason they were clasified as a controlled substance is becuase people were abusing them. High schools in the late 80's were full of d-bol in the locker rooms.Every gym had dealers circling young adults age 18-19 tempting them with steroids.
My buddy rick back in 1982 got a free cycle at age 17 a dealer gave him dbol and test for free to get him into the life style it worked and every time rick brought him another buyer he got free dbol and deca.
pretty soon rick told me he had almost the entire weight lifting class on roids at his high school.while he got free gear for almost 2 years.
As rick grew up into a middle aged adult rick told me at age 28 back around 1990 he did the same thing offered freebies sold to anyone that had money
kids that didnt have money would steal stereo equpiment,tools or what ever they could trade to him then he had another kid pawn it off for cash.
Rick explained to me that he would have kept doing this and not give a shit untill 1991 came along .He discribed him self as a mullet headed juiced up dealer that drove around in a brand new 1991 irocz . Well he got popped with alot of drugs did jail time paid fines and never touched the shit ever again.
people talk that was his mistake he said selling to to many people and the money was so good he just didnt want to get out untill he was arrested .
Rick discribed that 1993 through 1997 were very cold years for steroid users lots of fakes around lots of guys switched over to mexican vet gear and kept things real low under cover you only had a connection in the gym if you knew the right people and they trusted you steet values were high 200mg of test 10cc would bring as high as 150$ in the gym.Deca was almost double for norandgren (mexican brovell deca.
few guys ordered on the net but not alor of people had internet back then
Things started changing around 1998-2000 internet really opened up the steroid world the drugs were eazier to find and have mailed right to your front door.

i really think we have it really good now and need to take full advantage becuase things are gonna change for the worse laws will get tougher and the govt will crack down and put us back into the old steroid depression back from 1993- 1997 where the shit is way over priced again

They said this treatment only worked for Male Rats not Female Ones.
Which held promise for Hormonal Treatments for even Mental , Anxiety Disorders and other disorders. Which means Hormones play a HUGE role in many things and not just building muscle, which means Steroids=Hormones will become legal again as science evolves.

i think you guys are getting confused with the controlled subsatnce vs illegal
what you guys are really intending that needs be done is making steroids a (controlled subsatnce) a OTC drug that you can buy with out a script .
becuase right now steroids are legal in every sate with a script.
drugs like ghb, ruffiesand heroin have been banned and will never be allowed ever even with a doctors script so they are actually illegal to have at all times.
thats the difference.
