Why are Steroids Illegal?

Steroids should be like ciggarettes and alcohol. Lets teach kids that their evil but still allow adults access. Will they fall in the wrong hands? Yes, but they already I have. (I was juicing at 17)

It is simply unfair for some drugs to be ok but others are not, its discrimination.

In my opinion:

Steroids should be regulated by the Gov as with any prescription drug. As any prescription drug that doesn't cause dependencies or has the potential to be abused as a party drug.

As far as Steroids being criminalize and prosecuted under the same penalties as crack/cocaine, Heroin, Extacy and others... I think it is 100% WRONG

Steroids does not directly contribute to street crime. And even at a personal level, a person can use steroids every day for a year and never have any issues with their job(the same cannot be said for ANY narcotic). The great majority of steroid users are Professional Americans who maintain a job and pump money into the economy daily.

I'm sorry but to answer your question:

Steroids are still illegal because we do not stand up and use the democratic system to make change.

Steroids are still illegal because we hide in the shadows at the first sign of trouble, instead of uniting and telling our government to stop putting in jail its professional tax-paying citizens for steroids and focus instead on the welfare-collecting junkies it supports daily.

Basically, until somebody stands the fuck up and starts a movement to use democracy as a way of getting Washington to changes its policies... We will have to keep hiding.

Thats why steroids are illegal.

why are piranha's illeagle in massachuetts

As always BRR is dead on corect!!

Anybody that thinks its because they are dangerous or because they want to keep them out of the hands of childern is JUST LIVING IN LALA LAND!

Its all about 2 things: The Smoke and Mirrors(illusion of security)
and money. We have no lobby group pushing for legalization.

If someone would start a movement, I'd join. Im not ashamed!!!

i dont know what its like in the states but here its easier for a teen to get hold of some coke or meth than steroids, i know if i was told my child had a problem with drugs id prefer to find out it was steroids rather than coke or meth..

australia has the most draconian steroid laws on the planet, my guess is that it's probably due to the popularity of competitive swimming which is rife with aas abuse.

Dude steroids are dangerous drugs. That is why they are banned. It is not some greedy government plot because they are missing out or whatever your talking about. It is because steroids are powerful hormones and if used incorrectly they can do serious damage.

In addition, steroids are more addictive to cocaine in my opinion and I know from personal experience. Cocaine gets old but steroids only make you look better and better.

Legal supplements like Superdrol? I got more sides from that stuff than I have in anything else i've used that isn't legal. It is banned because it is just as harmful, if not more, than illegal steroids.

And if YOU became sick and steroids were the only way for you to survive of coarse they would prescribe them to you. Steroids have their place in the medical field as well under doctor supervision.

This is why they are illegal. If used by morons or kids they can do irreversible damage.

Bro, you got it all wrong. Any 12 yr old can go into Walgreens and buy a bottle of Aspirin, take the whole bottle, and kill themselves because it will eat a hole in the lining of their stomach causing them to bleed to death internally. A kid can also go into GNC and buy a bottle of potassium supplements, eat the whole bottle-causing them to die of a heart attack. What happens if a kid takes a whole bottle of 100 5 mg dbol pills? Probably nothing but a little nausea, but it definitely won't kill him. There's no doubt a kid using roids is a bad thing, but it's not the reason they are illegal. The reason they're illegal is because that fat ass old guys with a beer in one hand and a cigarette in the other are the ones that make the laws. They know very little about roids and fear the idea of people actually using them responsibly, reversing the aging process and improving their health. They choose to make them illegal because of fear and ignorance. Back in 1990 before The Anabolic Steroids Control Act went into effect, the DEA didn't even want steroid possession made into a felony. They already had enough drugs on their list that they couldn't control.

The reason people get busted for roids is because they are the low hanging fruit. Users are walking advertisements screaming"I'm a buffed roid using felon" making them easy targets to spot. To make matters worse, many roid users have never been in trouble for drugs before and they're unfamiliar with our legal system. This means when they do get busted that they are more likely to admit guilt and cooperate with the cops, which leads to stronger cases against them and more arrests of others. Recreational drug users are less likely to do this because they're more likely to know what to do when 50 catches them with their hand in the cookie jar.

As far as regular supplements/prohormones go, I laugh at the self righteous natural guys that use these supplements and think there is no risk. Most supplements like Creatine, etc have only been around for like 10-15 years, and nobody knows what the long term effects of their use are. Just because something is legal, doesn't mean it's safe(ex: cigs/booze). At least roids have been around 60-70 years so we're aware of what the risks of use are short/long term. So the real human lab rats are the ones taking every legal prohormone/supplement under the sun. Not the juicers.

As far as addiction goes, you can get addicted to anything. Alcohol, tobacco, recreational drugs, Dr prescribed Rx drugs, sex, gambling, food, the internet, internet porn, regular porn, shopping, video games, religion, driving fast...it's all dope!!! Anyone that overindulges in any of these things is gonna have probs. So everyone is at risk to be addicted to something in some way, shape, or form. Add roids in particular to that list and they are no more predisposed to abuse than anything else. It's up to us as individuals to keep these things in check. The weak minded dumbasses are the ones that require that the govt saves us from ourselves-forcing the rest of us to have to risk the penalties of breaking the law as a result of our actions.

I agree bro.
