Why are PRO's so weak! Curling 35 dumbells with soi much trouble!

uh what? so how did they get the way they did again? Electrical stimulus? Plyometrics? Bowflex? It's not like they can simply take AS and grow w/o weight training, you know.

When I was 220 pounds my arms were 18 inches cold now that I am 185 pounds they are just under 17. At 220 pound, as well as now, I couldn't curl 50 pounds for three reps using good form. I usually use 30 pounds for my dumbell curls. Preacher curls I do a max of 65 pounds. I've never being good at curling heavy weights in the gym but my arms are my best part. I think I could use 20 pound dumbells and still build good arms. The people I see lifting big weights on dumbells look like they are practicing their ten pin bowling. I'm sure their are some strong people out there who can lift 80 pounds with good form but to say that people who train with 25-40 pound dumbells are mediocre in there training is a joke as far as I'm concerned. I don't care how much I lift; I'm only worried about my form and been able to go to failure. If I was worried about the weight I would take up powerlifting. The biggest mistake I see in training is people being too worried about the weight the guy next to them is lifting. As far as I'm concerned bodybuilding is not about how much you can lift.
 
I know a pro who alternates light weights with superheavy, but he really knows how to make the most out of a light weight, really milking out the form and still build grueling intensity

- 100 procent focus
- no momentem
- squeeze the hell out of a top contraction
- shortening the rest period to about 45 seconds

ME, i am a natural, i can do 6 somewhat sloppy reps with 60 pounds db or 10 decent reps with 50's

That's good if u are a female pro but male pros do this for warmup hehe
 
Some possibilities:

- You're doing preacher curls and they're doing isolation curls.
- You caught them on the tail end of a drop set and didn't realize they were using the 80s a few minutes ago.
- They are doing something different, like moving the weight very S L O W... om mani padma hum, om mani padma hum...
- They have plastic bicep implants. Yuck! That's one
thing I would never do to look good. That, and the crystals
that swell up in your muscles. Ick.
- They are trying to mess with your mind because they hate people watching and rating them while they're trying to train.
- They are doing 200 reps to lose fat from their biceps. I do this instead of treadmills for my cardio. Works great.

I've heard in an interview with a guy who trained
with Arnold S. that he used 50-lb dumbells for his
biceps.

Most of you make it sound like all pro bodybuilders are the same. There are pro bodybuilders that have superior strength and then there are weak bodybuilders that have huge bodies but they are chemically enhanced for the most part. Then there are pro's that are in the middle. WTF
