Why are people REALLY complaining about the gas prices?

Arent people complaining about $4.00/gal gasoline the same ones driving $40 - $50thousand dollar vehicles? Jesus H Christ. You could have bought a used car or perhaps a new one but for $15,000 instead but you paid an extra 30,000 on your car and you complain about $4.00 gasolline?

I just don't think most people planned on having their gas budget double in a year when groceries jumped up 25% and their homes shit the bed for 30%.

Pretty simple really.

WEIRD

I was paying $3.25 a year ago (May 2007)for gas so it hasnt doubled for me. It did go down shortly thereafter to something like $2.99 a gallon in August then stayed right around $2.85-$2.99 a gallon through the end of 2007. In January 08 is when it went back up over $3.00 a gallon for me and steadily been rising but its (only) gone up by about 90 cents a gallon,it hasnt doubled.

They're just pissed that it costs more to fuel their vehicle for a month than the car payment.

yeah but thats probably been true for a lot longer than a year
hell I remember back in 04 when gas was relatively cheap (2.00/gal) and I was chalking up $450 a month in gas cost in my blazer - but i drove my car for a living (licensing foster homes all over chicagoland) so I got some reimbursement there.
