I have been very dizzy and sick to my stomach for the past two weeks off and on. I don't know what my problem is. If I make a sudden movement with my head I feel like I want to fall over. I get that feeling like you have had too many to drink. Yesterday I stepped off the precor and I thought I was going to pass out. Ugh!! What the heck is wrong with me? I hope I am not pregnant. :worried: Nah I doubt that. lol

Sounds like an inner ear issue, blood pressure or blood sugar issue. Has it gotten worse... What happened just prior ... any change in meds? Does your throat feel sore, or glands feel swolen? Also, you may have a sudden wax build up in your ear, a good ear wax cleaning product or hydrogen peroxide may help.

I don't have any ear or sinus issues going on right now. I was thinking maybe blood pressure, but didn't know why I would all of a sudden now have an issue out of the blue. I used to have my morning coffee, but I have not been able to touch coffee in two weeks. I have tried drinking it and it makes me feel really really bad. I am trying to stay away from the caffeine for now. Maybe I should go in for a checkup.

Iron?
B-12?
Magnesium?

watch your heart rate throughout the day and take your temp resting heart rate the second you wake up before you get out of bed.

Oh and if you know someone with an extra glucose monitor test your am glucose too (before you eat of course)

While you're at it I'd recommend getting Lipids done if your BP is high. To rule out that as a cause. I hope all goes well, I would recommend, especially since you are hitting 2 wks like this.

PREGNANT!?!?!?

Unless I had a cycle while pregnant I doubt it. Gosh I would die! :worried:

Pregnancy...Possibly low blood pressure but that does not make you sick, typically you will only feel drained and what not.

I am tired a lot, but that is nothing new. I always feel tired for some reason. Maybe I need iron supps.

could be possible although with low iron it resembles low blood pressure. Tired, run down, dizzy if standing too fast, etc.
I do suggest taking a preg test. You can have many cycles and have your monthly visitor. It some times can happen. Therefore with that being said get a test and take it tomorrow morning with your first urine.

haha man if anything I am tired because I do too much. I go to work, pick up kids, run them around, go home and work some more, and then I finally hit the bed and passing out before 10.

If the problem isn't impacted by eating/hunger then it's probably not blood sugar related. You should definitely check your blood pressure.

Assuming blood pressure and blood sugar are okay, then it could be:
1. Viral.
2. And/or inner ear mediated.

I'm betting on #2 since the problem waxes and wanes.

vertigo.

get some OTC meclizine tabs and see if that helps.

Thanks AAP. Can you have this issue even if your ears feel fine and you aren't sick? I was thinking maybe it wasn't this because I feel fine. Also, because of the fact that drinking coffee made me feel worst so I figured it couldn't be the ear then.

Yes. It is like mild motion sickness for people on cruiseships. but then again, I am just guessing. Not a doctor. And Meclizine tabs are very cheap for it not to hurt to give it a shot.

True dat! I will get some to try out.. If I feel better then I know that was the problem. If not, time to see the doc.

you should have your ejection fraction tested. If your heart rate is beating faster than it should when you're doing normal ordinary things, it's possible your heart isn't pumping out as hard as it should. I dunno...........the caffeine thing sounds suspicious. SOmeone who has drank a cup of coffee everyday should have some tolerance built up.........for it to change like that means something, not sure what. I'm not going to take anymore guesses because that would just build your anxiety needlessly. Just make sure it ain't nothin with the ole ticker.

those symptoms can be a whole wack of things. Go see your dr and have a blood test. Taking iron sups is not very safe.
I've been anemic for yrs and there are safer ways to up your iron
Go see your doc b/c two weeks is a good indication it's not a passing thing.

I've been feeling the exact same way but we all know what mine is related to

So did I when I was pregnant with my first. It was first sign I knew I was pregnant besides wonder where my period went. I REALLY don't feel that I am this time though. I did have my period two weeks ago too.

Thanks! Yeah I am the same way. I try not to listen to the news anymore it does a number on my anxiety. I worry too much. Funny thing is I used to never be this way. I didn't have a care in the world, but after having kids I worry about everything now. It sucks.

its the big boobies, when you were on the precor the weight bounces up and down it throws off your equalibrium. Then when you step off the world spins.
You still feel like you are moving.

I am serious I saw on tv , that women with big ol ta ta's get motion sickness more then women with no ta ta's
