a good therapist can help you get to the heart

of the matter in a few weeks. if a spouse is

bullshitting or otherwise dodging the issues

a proficient psychologist will call it.

She said we should have been in there over a year ago. Everyone thought my husband would be the problem. We were sure he would walk out. He's very passive. He is terrified of facing problems. He was there. He stayed. He talked some ....but not enough.
She said that I was actually gonna be the hardest part of the problem to deal with because I seem so tired and done.
I wasn't expecting it....but it makes sense.

when i first set an appointment for a marriage counselor 5 years

ago, my thought was " kathy is crazy and if i can get her into

therapy it might save our marriage" lol

i found out i was as *crazy* as kathy if not more so and way

less capable of intimacy.

i'd been in AA for years and had been involved with dozens

of self help work shops, book etc... but i had never addressed

my intimate relationship issues. it was an eye opener, to say the

least.

I feel bad for my dad because he's paying for it all and prolly burning his' money. He just thinks it's important that I go so I can say I tried EVERYTHING and didn't just give up. My dad didn't think Nate would make it through the first session. He's almost positive something will go wrong in meeting #2.
Nate talked......but didn't say anything new. He listened.....but I had nothing new to say.
The therapist said Nate is very passive and I'm intimidating. Bullshit. Nate's a liar and just keeps his' mouth shut because he's not even good at it.
