Did anyone notice the Captains of Star Trek got progressively more politically correct as time went on?

Yes. The "to boldly go where no one has gone before" gave it all away. Whatever happened to "where no man has gone before."

BTW: I'm still trying to figure out if Janeway was a woman. We'll worry about the lesbian part later.

Star trek kicks ass. DS9 was very good. The last 2 seasons were excellent.
The only thing Voyager had going for it was Belonna(sp) and 7of9. They were hot ass space hoes.

Bel'ana (however the fuck it's spelled) was a real bitch. She is no Klingon. She has thin human blood! P'tak!

What made the last2-3 seasons of DS9 great was all the wars. The Klingons fought the Cardasians, the Klingons fought the federation, the Federation fought the dominion, The Romulans teamed up with the Dominion to fight the Federation, etc.
