who trains alone ??

I do, and it kinda sucks, but it is kinda good.
all my motivation is intrinsic, meaning i dont rely on anybody but myself. i have noone to compete agianst, except myself. and im my worst critic.

sometimes that good and sometimes that bad. i train alone but i always keep a positive look on my training unless i know i deserve to be critisized by myself. last training partner wasn't serious about powerlifting and that's a huge conflict with me because i am...he would rather spend his time learning martial arts than training for powerlifting and so i train alone. if a partner came along with the same goals as me...i would accept them as long as they have an open mind about it. so there are pros/cons on both sides of the issue...partners vs. going solo...have you posted you progress here yet? this would help out in the motivation and sometimes...that's all you need to keep goin. wish ya luck brotha!! tb

I workout alone and I prefer it that way. I need a power rack though. I'm buying a house next year and that will be my first piece of furniture.

that will helpout your training a whole lot!! especially w/o a partner. tb

I think its really nice to train alone as long as you arent going for new personal records. I get more work done when i train myself and myself only but on thoose days when everything suck its kinda nice to have someone with you.

Since day 1 its been that way and it'll stay that way..
I can't have anybody in my ear with bullshit or let myself be distracted with others around.

Now im going to be a pain in the ass so stop reading if you cant take it.
Either your a jerk yourself or you have only had jerks as gymbuddies, I agree with you that it is hard to find somone that doesnt just talk bullshit during workout but if you find the right partner he or she can give you a tremendous boost to your routine.

That hurt..

Really though, I go all out every day I train.

I've seen amazing improvements in my physique from training alone. If someone was to approach me and ask to train with them I wouldn't call them out. I just don't feel its nessesary.

Oh, that "boost" you speak of, it comes from within.

Some of us don`t need a tremendous boost from a workout partner...we can do it ourselves and obviously it works very very well for those of us that do train alone and some of us don`t need to call other people names when their methods or opinions differ from our own..........
