Injured shoulder: how to train around it

I injured my shoulder. The doctor said I don't need surgery but that I need to lay off of it. He recommended that I not train at all but said that if I do train I have to be smart. What are some tips and advice you can give me on training on an injured shoulder? I need help.

If you don't have shoulders that are healthy then you're in big trouble because your shoulders work both your pushing and pulling splits.

I'm a huge fan of avoiding injuries. My secret has always been keeping the weight super light. If you do that then you'll have less of a chance of getting injured.

You need to be working on mobility and flexibility. That will build your shoulders and get them more loose. That will help when it comes to your training.

Avoid anything that aggravates any injury. It doesn't matter if it's your shoulder or anything else in the body.

Bros, stay away from overhead pressing and overhead pull downs. That's what really strains the hell out of your shoulders.
