Who here has a big screen?

If I were to choose from the above two, I would go with the Hitachi because of the 720p capability. Also, it says on the site you posted $2300 I found it for $1500 plus. I'm sure you`re looking around though, right? Please don`t pay $2300.

I have`nt looked around but there are better TV`s out there Im sure. Have you looked at Sony`s. (don`t know the price)

:lmao:

I like tv but I have no need or space for anything over 40". Right now I have a 32" and I'm about to get a 36" also. I can't see spending $1500+ on a television, especially when I don't even have a house.

If you buy a big enough TV you can live in the box idiot.

I've read that the new DLP TVs are the best TVs out dollar for dollar. The plasmas are so expensive and can get fucked up from things that are in the same spot for long periods of time....like sports scores. Same with LCDs but less chance of having that problem. LCDs supposedly last longer than Plasmas but not as long as the DLPs. The DLP sets are not super thin but much smaller than my old 60 rear projection. More TV for your buck with DLP, and better quality than projections.

Yep! plasmas have DOGs thats digital onscreen graphics scan this allows the screen to rotate slowly in a circular motion preventing a burn ,however if the DOG is turned off and a burn occurs its not covered under warrenty

LCD`s do not have a burn in problem. They also have a 60,000 hour life expectancy. If you watch TV 10 hours a day, it would take 16 years to go...

Some characterisitics of Rear Projection TV`s are still the best out of the new technologies.

i've read that most (maybe all) manufactures will be getting of the CRT market in regards to big screens.

I have an old school (1997) 61" Philips Maganovox. When I get a new one I am thinking about just getting a projector since they don't really make screens that big any more in terms of screen height with most big screens are today being 16:9 instead of 4:3.
