Save up and get one that is at LEAST 2.1 Megapixels.

Check out the reviews on the various sites and buy the following accessories when you make the purchase.

1. Extra battery - Inevitably, when you're having that threesome with the indentical swedish bisexual twins, the battery will die...

2. Get a bigger flash card. The biggest you can afford. Size is everything when it comes to volatile memory. My cam has a 128 MB flash card and will take 600+ pics at 640 X 480 resolution.

I have a Kodak DX3600... with a 64mb scandisk card for added photos and video capacity.... I can take 19minutes of video or 900 pictures (199 at high quality) ... it is 2.1 Megapixals...

It cost me $249... they may be cheaper now.... only bad thing is it runs off of 2 double A batteries... if you use the LCD screen, it SUCKS the batteries up big time... without the screen, they can last a decent amount of time, but definately, I'm ALWAYS changing them.

i have the model one up from that. i think it's the dx4300. mine runs on a lithium battery that costs $20. i've had it since xmas and i haven't had to change the battery once. there's been a few times where i've left it sitting idle for hours as well.

it's 3.1 mp and cost $300.

i have a mavica fd-95 from sony and i have had no complainst on it except it has propritary memory but has a disk adapter and if i run out i can just use floppies.
