who can help my chicken ass legs

Ok let's see here.

1. Train both standing and seated
2. Use high weight low reps (you get enough low weight high reps walking around)
3. Your ankles won't get bigger unless you get morbidly obese and have that droopy shit covering the top of your foot(not recommended). The bones still won't get any bigger around.
4. You may have short calf muscles in that case you will always have that stilty look to your lower leg as you also cannot make the muscle grow longer.
5. Short calf muscles and thin ankle usually denote an predetermined ability to run. Look at most top level sprinters.

Scotsman

Not to switch subjects on you, but why do you think calves need an extra beating?

Also, out of curiosity, what's your calf routine look like right now? What do they measure, and more importantly, what did they tape before you started training (if you can remember...I know I can't ;) )?

And as others have said, small ankles are great from a bodybuilding perspective. Flex Wheeler has tiny joints, and they helped him look more muscular than guys much heavier than he.

well as far as training i believe calves need an extra beating. my calf routine includes sitting and standing calf raises, plus calf raises on various machines that are actually meant for thighs (decline/incline leveled raises). i taped them last august and they were 13" and today i just checked and they're still 13"!! this sucks.

scotsman: they look like short calf muscles when looking from the inside, but from the outsides they dont.

BTW, i'm almost 5'7

well what seemed to have worked for me for calves was playing a lot of B-ball when i was younger. that would lead me to believe that a higher rep range works better for calves, but i have to add to that that i was training them directly through weight training as well at that time(with a 'normal' rep range). currently i work them using heavy weight for about 8 reps tops, and at the moment my calves are bigger than my arms. i would still, however, suggest trying a higher rep range for a while (that is, if you're not doing that already)
