Thats good info and I learned something from it but DHT is still the worst element in hair loss IMHO.
BTW neither primo or winny convert to DHT so I am not sure what you mean by "DHT based".
When speaking of androgenic hair loss(not estrogenic) one must consider the strength of the androgen. The stronger the androgen the greater is its tendency to promote hair loss. DHT is the very strongest androgen.
Also your experience while on testosterone is unheard of really. I would not expect this in the majority of men that suffer from male pattern baldness tendancy.
All this said winstrol does seem to be bad for hair loss for many and I would rank it up there in the top 5 worst roids for hair loss but clearly testosterone, without ancillary drugs(Finasteride), is the worst.

Primobolan and Winstroll are chemically a derivative of the DHT molecule, this is why they do not convert to DHT but can still act just like it in the scalp for those that are sensitive to DHT.
When it comes to Testosterone, it's Androgenic component is not it's DHT component. It's DHT component will depend on how the individual person converts it. So again it goes back to understanding what causes an individual persons hair loss
1. DHT
2. Androgens
3. Estrogen
For me it was DHT. So because my body did not convert Test to DHT that well or in any large ammounts it did not affect my hairloss. But add in any DHT based drug like Winny and it's hairloss galore.
Incidentally, this is why many users that lost hair on Winny or Primo and not on FINA. Fina is extremly androgenic but is basically a nondrolone derivative, that is why it has sides similar to Deca.
