A Denali. Almost got one this past summer. I ended up with a Mazda. 60K v 28K. I am a penny pincher.
Nice choice, Denali is a great car, my friend in the Cape was gonna get one and ended up buying two fully loaded GMC Arcadias, even got the onstar package, asked for ALL possible extras... he paid them cash... I almost cried in sheer envy....
I'd like to have an 06 Chevy SSR.... oh yeah....

MG an el camino oh hell yes, I;d love to have 2 of those babies but with unlimited funds so I can have one in mint classic condition to look as original as possible and then the other to monster out as per engines, detailing and interiors ohhhhh yes.......

I have the one in my avatar, however its not my everyday driver. I have a 09 Mercury Grand Marquis as my company car and I love that vehicle. If you want a car that is reliable and has a high resell, then stick to Honda. Best of luck to you

Youkon was #2 right after the Denali. Nice set of wheels. The dealer was a great guy too, slamming GM and Chrysler for taking government money lol

If I have to pick between American and foreign even if the foregin car IS better, I'll always pick the American vehicle because it feels better and I like to feel good.

Not a slam on Nan, but a completely pointless question. People in this forum for the most part are irrationally biased for or against certain makes. People are too entrenched in their auto manufacturer biases to respond objectively.
Bottom line is there are fair, good, and great European (largely German) and Asian cars, and there are fair, good, and great domestic cars.

oh I agree...my driveway contains
a 98' dodge ram 2500 xcab 4x
a 95' bmw 525i 5spd trac ctrl
a 05 dodge stratus auto trac ctrl
a 01 sabaru forester 5spd awd
only car I HATE out of all of them is the stratus...but unlike cindy...I tend to think american cars feel cheap compared to say...german cars but will only own american trucks..usually fords (7.3 pwr strokes) but I picked the dodge up for an unbelievably sweet deal.
BUT the stratus feels more solid than the subaru and handles way better...egst about the same gas mileage too..
I cant stand the layout in the subbie but its very practical if I gotta move stuff that doen't require a full size truck and its a good commuter for snow
The new Lincolns are outstanding. My mom bought one almost a year ago. Every bit as quality in every way as the BMW's we've owned. Owing to misconceptions about domestic quality they are ridiculously underpriced too.

I've had every Eldo body style they made from '59 through '85; favorites being '70 and '78 Biarritz. That '78 had a hood so long, that you couldn't see the hood ornament from the drivers seat on a foggy day
. My current one is an '82 with the hated Oldsmobile 5.7 Diesel engine, which I bought because they're so rare anymore (all junked by about 10K miles). My favorite was my 8.2 litre, 400-hp '70 Eldorado with factory moon roof and bucket seats, and fan-forced rear window defogger... And of course an 8-track tape player. I wish I'd kept that one... It's driving around in Tokyo someplace now. Sold it to an exporter.Charles

wow. Now that's a good one. For 100k you could get something special, but still there'd be a limit, so this makes the question interesting. I wouldn't want my one choice to be something so special I'd be afraid of driving it, so that eliminates a lot of possibilities.
I'm thinking probably a late model Bentley coupe. Those things absolutely shit the bed in value the first 4-5 years. You can get a lightly used, totally new looking one that was 180k a few years ago for 50% the original price.
If I couldn't find the Bentley I wanted under 100k, then an '08 Porsche 911 GT-3 RS. They were stupidly overpriced new and I'm betting one could be had for a bit under 100k now.
That would be an Audi s8!
