Where will Osama pop a Suite Case Nuke in the US?

1. its the bushies home state, what a ego-blow to bush that would be to strike texas.

2. Mexico is one of the best bets at smuggling the device in.

Smuggle the device in?

Shoot.....get within a few hundred miles. Hire a pilot. Toss it out the window. Not that hard.

I keep saying....they will strike when they want to. We can stop some attacks but the only way to stop them all is to somehow change our relationship.

lol..they could never build a bomb that could do damage from hundreds of miles away.

How much damage would a small, crude nuclear weapon cause?
According to one estimate, the blast from a one-kiloton nuclear weapon—such as a crude improvised weapon or a stolen battlefield weapon—in midtown Manhattan during the day would:

kill more than 200,000 people and injure at least 200,000 more;
produce radioactive fallout that could kill half the exposed population as far as three miles away within a few weeks;
demolish most buildings and other structures over 11 city blocks; and
seriously disrupt Manhattan’s transportation, communications, utilities, and other infrastructure.

How much damage would a large nuclear weapon cause?
Again, it’s extremely unlikely that terrorists would be able to acquire a strategic nuclear weapon or get past the safeguards that are in place to prevent its unauthorized detonation. But under the scenario described above, the detonation in Manhattan of a large, stolen 150-kiloton nuclear weapon would be even more devastating. It is estimated that it would:

kill more than 800,000 people and injure 900,000 more;
produce radioactive fallout that could kill half the exposed population as far as 10-15 miles away;
demolish all buildings and structures within a mile of the blast site;
set fires that would spread and burn out of control for days;
knock out many of the city’s major bridges and tunnels, as well as the power grid, communications networks, and other crucial utilities such as water and gas; and
destroy all but one of Manhattan’s major hospitals.

(The bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki were 13- and 20-kiloton weapons, respectively, and they each killed some 150,000 people.)

This always as been "the sum of all fears" But I think it will not happen. What just a few know (because they are interested in what media says) is that U.S. has already thousands of special agents spying around the world. Everywhere, anywhere. Fortunatelly we have president Bush who made a 180 degree reform to national security system. Osama will be caught first, and he seated with saddam at his side, will be forced to look up and see the inauguration of the new World Trade Center. The world's tallest structure in the world. After that we can kill them. It's a waste of taxes having them alive.

Unfortunately, something like this will have to happen before the federal government gets their head out of their ass and militarizes the US-Mexican border.

The Bush administration has done NOTHING to secure our borders, ports, chemical plants, oil refineries, nuke power stations and so on.

Are you folks aware the 5,000 ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS cross the southern border every day? But the corporate sponsers of the Bush admin want cheap labor and will not allow something as dangeropus as our open southern border to be closed.

Arizona passed Prop 210 this past election; denying any illegal of all but the most basic services (school and fire protection only, no more welfare, food stamps, section 8 housing, no in-state tuition breaks, nothing); just watch as the federal government works to subvert this law and ignore the wishes of the CITIZENS.

What makes you think it will be small, or suitcase sized? From Russia with love. Blackmarket high yield nuclear weapon pulling in to New York harbour.

Lets see. I listen to you, a trite, neocon, partizan, You. OR I can listen Michael Scheuer who has 28 years of experience in the CIA, worked the OBL group and was one of the people trying to get the administration to listen before 9/11.

Decisions.....hmmm.

I'll go with the guy who knows what the hell he is talking about. Micheal Scheuer

Fortunately we have president Bush who decided to attack Iraq instead of dealing with the nuclear threats posed by Iran and North Korea. Osama still has not been caught and Bush himself has stated he is 'not that concerned about him'. Yeah, who cares about Osama? He's only the one that killed thousands of Americans on American soil. Saddam was much more important because spending $200 billion and thousands of American lives is a small price to pay to have a puppet government installed in the ME that will keep the oil flowing. Never mind that kind of money would go a long way toward perfecting alternative fuels so we wouldn't have to be worried about being held hostage by the ME. What a great and visionary leader!

Eh...You missed the part about hiring the pilot and chucking it out the window.
