There are more silver certificates + what people own personally than there actually is silver.
Silver is used in industry, meaning its value goes UP just based on that because of supply and demand.
Silver/gold ratio used to be 15:1. Right now its 46:1. It will eventually catch up and if it were 15:1 ratio right now, silver would be 93/oz.

My Grandpa had a WHOLE closet full of gold and silver jewelry that my grandmother bought years ago. When she passed he told me I could have all of it but, I honestly had no time to deal with all that jewelry. Mind you we are not talking precious stones, strictly QVC shit but it was silver and gold metals with gemstones in them. Long story short he took it in and they bought all of it for around 10k. FML

whats crazy is that a silver quarter from 1964 or before is worth around 6 bucks right now, and it used to be worth 25 cents. Its jus gonna keep going up
