friday is seafood day in new orleans, perhaps due to the large, pious catholic population here.

here's a pic of my lunch special at Jack dempsey's seafood restaurant, on the corner of dauphine and poland ave, in the historic bywater neighborhood of new orleans.

thin fried catfish, mac&cheese, onion rings, "sweat tea".

yummmmm!! :p;):p:coffee:

this restaurant (jack dempsey's) is known locally for their mac& cheese....the sauce is oh-so-creamy and rich.....yummmmmmmm!

Good place but that mac and cheese aint got shit on Rocky and Carlos's In da parish

on friday's my training partner (chick) and i do one of those px90-type workouts. . .then we go to the dairy queen and get banana cream pie blizzards. . .today was no exception :)

I had roast beef on pumpernickel, with lettuce, tomato, and spicy deli mustard.

I tried to eat as healthy as possible even though I was stuck downtown at lunch time.

yes, perhaps one of the reasons why "men's health" magaine named new orleans the "most unfit city" several times back in the 80's.

i don't eat this way everyday, just occassionally.

as tom cruise's buddy said in "risky business": "sometimes you just have to say 'what the fuk' ".

MMMMMMM Catfish!!!

Damn the food in Nawlins is great.

I just had two open faced chicken sandwiches on wheat toast with a pan glaze.

Cheers,
Scotsman

Well, in that case I take it back :rose:

Yeah, you do need to treat yourself sometimes.

Small popcorn (no butter) small diet coke.

I caught the 11:30 showing of "The Hangover". I recommend it highly, funniest movie I've seen in quite a while. Even slightly better than "Role Models".
