What were you like in high school?

Brainy, wise-ass, violin playing theatre type. Captain of the academic bowl team, NHS, Key Club, etc. Often found with other subversive, talented geeks sneaking cigarettes behind the school, condescending to all the jocks and anyone incapable of being admitted to a "good school," worming our way into really sketchy clubs down town on the weekend to do our drinking whilst all of the piss-ants drank Natty Light out of the back of a pick-up, wore a fair amount of black (but not to school, where we had uniforms) and tried to be intriguing. LOL We had a helluva time.

Had plenty of friends but was not . . .

JR reminds me of some writer for a television series... just the way he visualizes things and his music stylings... I dig it. hilarious song

straight A stoner who was all-state defensive end, state record ( for a short time) in discus, and amateur boxer ( independent of school). Was really an outsider but I think I was respected and somewhat liked. I was very results oriented in everything but as soon as work was done, i got baked.

Pretty much the same as now.

All I'm saying is this, RW and me, same page, philosophically and same highschool background... my story without the boxing same as his, except I was thrown out of consecutive games for spiking the ball as a receiver, this may come not as a shock to some... I have a tendency to get over eager.

Very true. I could never do any drugs in school though. I would be too paranoid. My girlfriend told me that in high school once she tripped on acid. How in the hell could you do that?!?? There is no way I could do that.

yeah my brother got me started... he has severe anxiety... but yeah... I wasn't baked all the time just on weekends, but I was a 4.0 kid and now I smoke like twice a month after a 3 year hiatus... but your personality comes as no surprise... athletic, sarcastic, goal oriented... I think you dated the same dude who we were talking about... what a db... oh well.

oh, IN school?

freshman year of high school i tripped on acid in school...twice. lmao. was pretty fun actually. no bad experiences. acid never really gave me bad trips except one time where i walked into my house late at night( i had to go home early, but it was sitll pretty late) and for some reason my entire extended family was there. that fuckin sucked
mushrooms have given me more than a few bad trips. never touch psychedelics again

i had a friend who dropped XTC more than a few times in high school (he was a junior when i was a senior). was pretty fuckin hilarious seeing him. what a mess he was

i used to get baked sometimes at school in the mornings, but not alot.

I was popular, Class Pres., played sports, chased the ladies. Only thing different now is I have caught a lady and don't chase now!

Let me see. I was the 'normal' kid in HS until the Tiananmen Square incident. I was the only kid who didn't wear a black arm band and saw the hypocrisy of it all. After that moment, I started to smoke, my hair was a different color each month, I got into a lot of fights, started piercing, started drinking / toking and I brought black overcoats to my school. I think it was because I wanted to experience something different then the ‘mayonnaise type’ life people usually have.

This continued until G12 when I dropped the ominously serious attitude and just laid back. It simply wasn’t fun anymore. At this point, I found the first great love of my life and we dated for a year. We broke up and my friends tell me that I was a mess back then (all SWV). I barely squeaked by in classes; although I did well when I felt like it. I never understood the value of understanding Geography or History with regards to ‘real life’.

I'm not proud of any of it, I'm proud of all of it because I wouldn't be where I am today without it.

I don't think I would ever have bad trip it's just that anything I have ever been on always makes me laugh my ass off. I would look like a retard in class and I wouldn't be able to control it.

My friend was telling me that she was taking notes in class on it and she stopped and she was watching her hand and it was still writing even though she wasn't moving. She said she just kept laughing to herself and her friend behind her had to kick her seat and tell her to snap out of it. I have some funny party stories, but nothing IN school.
