What To Do When You Have No Whey?

ExtraMile

I ran out of whey today, Im ordering more tomorrow however it will probably take 5 days to come as I buy it from http://www.myprotein.com

So I just wanted to know what should I have Postworkout? Milk? (I hate fat free milk so it would be full cream milk) Milk & a sports drink? Or just water?

(Im bulkin and only 14 so extra cals from full cream milk wont be any harm I dont think...)

ive heard chocolate milk being a good post work out. just get your protein and your carbs asap. and eat more meat

yeah i've heard that too. Two cups of 1% chocolate milk is about 320 calories, 52 grams of carbs, 16 grams of protein, and 5 grams of fat and enough sugar to boost glycogen levels. add extra protein from chicken, turkey, ect.

if you want, the clif protein bars are good too.:)

1 litre of milk - whole if u don't mind the fat. Anyway, the only study of whole v skim milk PWO was won by whole milk.

Throw a banana or too.

Then stash some tuna

It's true there are studies on chocolate milk being good PWO. Cocoa itself is insulingenic, full of antixoxidants, so u could always add 10g cocoa + dex.

My PWO shake/meal ATM is 400 mls whole milk, 250 mls chocolate milk, 10 g cocoa, 60-80g oats, 50WPI - a nice tasting hot chocolate fudge.

Last time that happened to me I went to walmart and got some cheap protein I cant evern remember the name, and used it. It was pretty good and I think the protein quality was good too. It mixed far better than the Isopure that I was using. Now I use EAS whey. Its far better mixing than that Isopure too. Got it at sams 5 lbs for 30 bucks. I think Im gonna stick with that!!!

Just eat up your protein in anyway bro. Milk is good but anything with protein will work. During the summer i usually don't have shakes after my workouts i have an entire meal because i burned so many calories im starving!

OP: if you consume a protein meal before and after weights (say tuna sandwich), it's likely that it will be no worse than whey.

Whey or high GI carbs really only become vital (if at all) if you working out pre-fasted. When bulking, there is no reason not to eat right before weights unless you find it hard to train like this.

I usually yell "No Whey!" in my best Bill or Ted voice then laugh at my hilarious punnery!

Ok, not really, but I think about doing that really hard then just down some milk.
