I'm thinking of getting some kind of pet...something that doesn't stink, make noise, or have airborne dander. Also, I need to be able to travel with said pet. Throw me some ideas.

They are decidedly NOT cool unless you have a barn. They are very smart and VERY DESTRUCTIVE. They will eat the damn drywall off the studs in your house...lol.jack_schitt said:Them potbelly pigs are cool. My bor-in-law has one.

Yeah, fish are impossible to travel with ...jack_schitt said:Fish would be to hard to travel with...but the snake is sounding pretty good. What do they eat? Live mice?
The only animals that really enjoy travel is dogs (although some rats can get pretty good at it but they have terribly short lives). You wouldn't be a good pet owner, dear, mainly because the vast majority of animals do not enjoy travel. Are there exceptions to the rule, YES, but do you know if any given animal is going to enjoy this activity under any given situation, NO. They aren't people, they lack frontal lobes, you cannot reason with them.jack_schitt said:...something that doesn't stink, make noise, or have airborne dander. Mr. dB said:I have a cat, the fellow seen in my avatar.
Cats are fun low-maintenance pets, but they don't travel well at all. A dog will stick by your side when you travel, but a cat will run away. They're territorial, and frightened by change. They don't even like riding in the car.

Mr. dB said:Nor do they need them. They groom themselves.
