What is your job and how did you get it?

Laserdudes Bro here, I tried posting under my own handle but the sysadmin hasn't cleared my handle and password yet. I am a laser service/applications engineer
by trade. I quit my job with the major manufacturer of the lasers I work with and started my own service company. I make three times what I did at my former employer, they wouldn't give me the raise I deserved. One year later they are so strapped for service techs they instantly gave a contract when I asked for it.

My soon to be incorporated company will pay for my health insurance, car lease and auto insurance, disability insurance, part of my house rent as I have a home office and a whole lot of other good things and I get to have a really nice tax write off for my company too. I will only work 36 weeks a year, and I will make 100 k in my first year. Sweet stuff. It's all good... Nice vacations to scuba dive to boot as well.

Just cut down this harvest yesterday should be around 3lbs which sells for $4000 wholesale each.

I'm a pig .. ye member of a tactical squad somewhere in Canada. I was first suppose to become a lawyer but then realized this sucked... so I just finished the bar school and decided to switch to something a bit more interesting. I still cant believe i waisted 3 years of my life at the law school...anyway.

Why a pig ? Dunno i wasnt really thinking about it till I saw an add looking for new members. Perfect timing cause lawyers and all these wannabe big attitudes were pissing me off.

However, I am studying web design and either plan on working for a company doing that or working on my own.

I'm working in a collections dept for a sub. of citigroup
I call people who have accounts with Gordons, Zales, and Baily Banks and Biddle. More importantly I get to call people who haven't paid in 5+ months, I have the power to really help someone out or send their accounts to be charged off and handed to collections agencies if they are assholes

I dont care for the job, but it pays better then any other college job in my town, and my coworkers kickass. I'm studying Economics/Mgt and will be looking into a job in Sales hopefully in Telecomm.

Project Engineer for a large general contractor. Also do a lot of estimating. I carry out what Velvet creates. I went to College at Colorado State and graduated with a degree in Construction Management. Pay is OK for starting, but I would rather not have such an "office" oriented job as this one. Sales in any arena seems to pay well as well as turns you loose from the office. I hate this fucking salt mine at times.
