all classical rock bands aside,

I have recently warmed up Three Doors down. Well its not that recent. Like three years recent.

The only beatles song i like is "money can't buy me love".

Only 4 songs I can stand, Hey Jude, The Long And Winding Road, Michelle, Let It Be..........

Oh geesh, LMAO @ someone who thinks the eagles are a country band.
well, the eagles music was somewhat of a blur on the charts...their early music had a kinda-sorta country-western type of sound to it. understandable, as the eagles started life as linda ronstadt's back up band; HER early music had a definate folk/country sound to it.

the eagles early stuff sounds very close to what is now called "country pop", similar to what alan jackson, kenny chesney, dwight yochum and others are doing now.

later on in their career, the eagles aquired a harder "edge" to their sound; but nowhere like the schreeching guitars and out of tune schreaming done by "guns 'n roses" and the other acid rock bands who used loud volume, synthesized soundtracks and bellowing vocals to cover up the fact that their hair and make up was done better than their music was.

"rock" is a rather broad term for modern music, isn't it!

are you one of those guys who play "hotel california" on their guitars 24/7?

In high school we had to beat a guy up for doing that right where we were eating our food. The first few days were okay, but the second week we had to beat him up.

I went for a motorcycle training course, and the instructor loved the eagles too.

Jokes bro.

LMAO @ the hotel california reference....my best friend wore that 8 track to death...prolly the one eagles album/tape/cd i don not have.

i you just read the lyrics to that song, you realize what a barbed commentary the entire song is on southern california life in the late 70's. henley & frey wrote some damn fine words back then!

I'll tell you what, Joe Walsh did some interesting things on the side, but beyond that, I can't stand the Eagles.

Give me The Byrds - Sweetheart of the Rodeo or give me death, gentlemen. Hell, give me Poco over The Eagles.

And I'm really interested in seeing you back this one up, haha.
