what is your biggest regret in life?

velvett said:
Your priorities are fubar - you haven't learned anything.

You were having "fun" then now your excuse is "socializing".

When you're 40 and all your friends are married with kids or big into their careers and don't have the time or interest to socialize with you are you prepared to face the same regrets?

Is clubbing that important to you?

Suck it up and change your life.

It's called sacrifice - try it.

It's your life you have to live but that's what I'm getting from your post.

3 point for Vel!

You're saying - you're an old fart - you should be preparing to roll over and die.

Not everyone wants to pack up in life and get ready to grow old and die.

I dunno. If he doesn't want to sacrifice for those things, then so be it. The only condition is that he's got to be willing with whatever happens...

...and stop being so melodramatic about it. :D

The irony is that he's sacrificing for something else.

I think she meant if your unhappy because you suck at life and your life basically has no meaning, fucking change it. "Not having a social life"????? That's just an excuse. Grow the fuck up.

That's like saying, I'd really like to get in shape and have big muscles, but I like ice cream sandwiches way too much......I just cant do it.........

In the endless wisdom of my high school football coach -- Unzip your pussy and let your balls hang out.

Not enough people realize this. People are always making progress and sacrifices. The key is whether or not these actions take them closer to where they (mentally) want to go.

How is going to college after making the realization that you wanted to go and in your mind should have, preparing to roll over and die?

What if the admission to laziness was not wanting to part from socializing long enough to further one's education but from the inability to step away from the Big Macs and dough nuts to lose 50, 60 100lbs, look better, feel better and add 10+ years to life?

Your statement says more about yourself and how you feel then it does anything else.

hmm, you guys have made a good points about sacrifice.

the thing with school is i'm not sure its gonna help me out that greatly for my field. i'm in the IT field and if i worked more towards certifications i could probably land a better position. as of now i actually have a pretty solid job. i was lucky enough to land my job just from knowing someone. i was hired on with hardly any experience and have built a pretty nice resume for myself.

going back to school is always an option. i regret not taking school seriously when i was younger. i will always regret that because i cant get that time back. if i worked hard back when i was younger other doors would have opened up. perhaps i could have went away to a good university and dormed. i could have lived a different life. i envy the people that talk about their old college days and still have that school spirit. the degree is always an option but i will regret missing out on what could have been.
