What is the average and highest amount you spend at the grocery store?

MAn, my wife pissed me off again last night even though we have been getting along better lately. She said she spent $120 on groceries and then when I saw the receipt it was $260. Insert mad smiley here.

So I thought I would check to see what the average trip to the store and the higher amounts are for people here. Oh also put down how many people are eating at your house.

OUr average ticket is $120 to 140
The highest was $320.
There are 4 people in my house.

I average around $80.00 per week with the highest being $180.00, I live alone.

On average we spend $120-$140 a week on groceries. There are three of us in the house. The wife doesn't eat all that much of the food and neither does our 7 year old girl. So, I guess I am the pig. However, all the snack packs, frozen treats, and juice boxes is where all the expensive crap is. I checked out how much my tuna, chicken, eggs, bread, and rice all cost and it isn't that much a week. I would say that we are in an average price category per week though. Now if she spent over $200 we better be eating Steak all week!
