What is that about?????

Today is the Bday of the guy I work with. His wife and daughter just showed up with a bday cake to surprise him. I hear them from my office and get up to see what's going on.
I never met his wife so I walk over and this dude introduces everyone in my area (all men) to his wife but not to me?! I go up to them and say hello, and the guy I work with practically ignores me.
So the wife just leaves and the guy comes to see me and says "Want a piece of bday cake?"
This happened to me a few weeks ago also. Another guy I work with is in a band so I go see him play on Sat night and we're all standing outside between sets and he introduces everyone to his wife but me?!
WHAT IS THAT ABOUT?????????

what's so hard to understand? Your a little hottie and no man wants to introduce his wife to " the hottie that I work with" or " the hottie that comes to see us play"...
that isn't hard to understand....

Maybe your better looking then his wife, and she is some psycho whore who will start getting funny ideas about you and him. So maybe he's trying to avoid the whole thing. His wife> "So what, do you got a thing for her"!?!?

What!! That would be the most ridiculous reason. If I went to my boyfriends work, he would introduce me to all the women.
This guys wife that just came in is a TOTAL babe!

Do guys at work talk about the women they work with?

Well this guys wife was tres hot. I don't want to believe women are that insecure.
maybe the guy is thinking dirty thoughts and feels guilty?!

Seriously, I am so close to this guy so that was odd. When my boyfriend comes in to see me, I introduce him to the guys?!

That is different - the boyfried would not be jealous of all the guys you work with - the wife WOULD be jealous of EVERY woman her hubby works with.

Silly.....I would and am not jealous of the women my guy works with. And he would introduce me to ALL the women in his office.

No way, I have friends that are total babes and they are awesome. Maybe they are insecure about other women, but they grew out of it.

maybe their wives get jealous, or they are afraid you will tell them to stop sexually harrassing you in front of their wives and get them in a lil trouble

They are afraid that their wives will get all insecure and nutty. So, they pretend that they don't even notice you...lol.

if you get introduced, then the 21 question game starts... How long has she been working there? Who does she talk to all day? Does she go to lunch at the same time as you do? When yall go out for drinks after work does she come? etc, etc, etc... but if you don't get introduced, it's: Why didn't you introduce me to the woman standing there.?.. you don't want me to meet her? yall having some kind of office affair? that's the budddy that you go have drinks with isn't it?
sheeezzz, it's a no win situation, again.

Don't be paranoid. You should just not give a fuck. I doubt being introduced to wives will impact your job, so who cares?

You're right, but I guess I was kind of hurt that I've worked with these dudes for a while and we have a great working relationship and they are too worried about introducing me to their loved one.

So last night before I left I went to ask the guy "how come you introduced everyone to your wife but when I came around the corner and said hello, you didn't introduce me"
He says "Oh because she doesn't speak English" (all French dudes I work with)
I said "well I could have spoken to her in French"
He replied "she is just very shy"

So whatever......I guess you are all correct. These guys just don't want the 20 questions and Jerk, the thought that they may think of me sexually makes me nauseous...ugh!
