Here's an idea - if you have trouble gaining weight - EAT. Eat a lot. Don't worry about stupid crap like egg whites. Make sure you get protein in every meal and pound some food. If that's a few McDonalds Big Macs and a protein shake so be it. Obviously, you'd like to eat as clean as possible but it's really hard to eat a ton of super clean food every day and grow. If you are very lean with a fast metabolism, just forget all the BS and start stuffing your face with food. If you start to get fat, scale it back a bit. You are lean because you don't have an excess of calories in your diet (you don't consume enough). How are you going to add muscle without excess calories? Forget the 2 egg whites and pound some real food down - like 5 whole eggs. You are making this wayyyyy too hard. Eat like no tomorrow. Eat everything in site. Buy a protein supplement, nothing wrong with that, and then EAT EAT EAT.
