What if AM cardio is out of the question, but fat loss is needed

Here's the deal - My wife is trying to loose about 50lbs of fat. Here is the problem - AM empty stomach cardio is out of the question. Due to the time she has to be to work, and the distance of the drive it is not feasable for her to get up and go that early.

She is going to do cardio in the evening - around 6 pm. What would a good eating schedule be with her doing cardio that late in the day? What can be done to maximize the fat burning?

She is eating properly - 6 meals daily, around 1200-1500 calories - one cheat meal a week.

K to all those help

All you can do is all you can do. If she's gettin up early she's probably going to bed relatively early. I would say the most important meals are the ones right before and after her workout. If she is going to bed within 3 hours of exercising I would have her do a postworkout shake and let that be the last meal. That might not be feasible either but worth a shot.

I am losing weight with PM workouts. Just gotta keep control of calories and not cheat eat before you hit the sack.

About an hour after dinner i hit the gym. Screws up my TV schedules but thats what DVR's are for.

The am workouts are not required to loose the extra pounds; loosing weight is still all in calories in vs. calories out. It doesn’t matter when she runs, till she does. Check her BMR, and then adjust to her activity lever and cut 30% of the calories for 5 days of the week and 10% for the other two, and the pounds will go

you can also read the stickies in the women’s forum for some more help
