What do you think of runners?

I used to run distance in Highschool. I started in 8th grade and we would run 5-7 miles a day. Thats a lot for a group of kids in the time when they grow the most. I graduated highschool at 5'11 140Lbs..But I could smoke most people in running in gym class.
Because of the intense training i went through, my legs dont respond to any type of work with weights unless I beat the shit out of them with many sets of heavy weight. Enough to the point that im walking like I was riding a horse for 10 hours.

Omega-I have already started running. 3 times a week when I am not in the gym. 3 miles, but I want to eventually move up in distance up to five miles. then from five miles, I will increase my speed. no need to run a marathon, I aint going no where. thanks for the input about your experience. I do understand about the fast recovery deal.

This is a constant challenge for me. At 6' and 205 lbs, I like lifting and try to maximize size and strength. I also run 15-25 miles a week, usually 3-4 miles 4 to 5 times a week. It is hard to be your best at running if you lift a lot, and vice versa.

I enjoy both though.

I learned to love jogging.....I jog for about 3-5 km 4 days a week. I can't stand doing cardio inside, I would rather be outside in the fresh air.
