when i say high vol. i dont mean 15-20 reps

more like 1x100 squats 1x50squats/deads/legs presses/lunges <lower body>

my upper body is not as strong

so im going as high as 1x50 1x40 1x30

im one week into it

im thinking of doing this for 3 weeks and then go heavy for another 3 weeks

my diet and cardio are on check

\supps. im taking 4lipoflame/morning and a multi

i thought i would try something different

i needed a challenge i was getting bored with my old routine

so far im getting a hell of a work out..im drenched by the time i leave the gym

and i love the way my legs and abs are coming out

not as happy with my upper body-i think i could do better

if anyone has a good upper body routine plz let me know..i would appreciate it

what are your thoughts????

sounds good????

So thats like one set of 50 to 100 reps? I have a friend thats doing 10 sets of 10 but not 100 straight. I would have to do extremely light weight to do any thing of that nature. It sounds interesting though especially for someone who wants to sculpt their body instead of build mass.

nooo i can only do the bar alone

start off with 100 straight

next one 50 i usually add some weight

after the whole work out-if i still see that i have energy and im not looking for the garbage can to throw up lol
i load the bar as much as i can for the last 8 reps and call it a day

i could already see a difference on my lower body
but my upper is lacking big time

what type of routine were u doing prior to this high rep for upper body?

moderate weight

10-15 reps 4 sets

i would mix it up most of the time with circuit workouts

from one machine to another w/very little to no rest

have u tried any variation of high intensity workouts? where u only do 1 working set per exercise to absolute failure with drop sets.

how much of your workout is machine based versus free weight?

yes i've tried that as well

example:

lat pull down

60lbs 1x12
80lbs 1x10
100lbs 1x8-10
120lbs 1x8 last one i drop the weight for 8 reps back to 60lbs (backwards-nonstop)

is that what you had in mind??

i try not to use too many machines
smith machine is a no no-actually i only use it for pull ups but thats about it

i use barbells/dumbells/cables/hack squat/leg curls
hmmm cant think of anything else

ohh and Guardian Thanx for all your help
