A great workout does wonders. Quiet time with her. Emphasis on "quiet". Believe it or not, SEX. omg What a release it's been especially lately. Hate to 'brag', but we're really rocking the hell out of the bedroom for a while now. 40 years old and getting better, who would have thunk it? It's really changing our lives for the better. i haven't felt this good in years.

Wow, how 'low' was I, huh?

Yep, again, tmi. ehhh.

LOL and you're depressed and stressed why?

LOL

I tell my honey that all time.

He knows I just need some alone time or a nap in the center of the bed.
I like the relationship I've got, the one time I lived with an S O, it worked, but took me a long time to get used too, and I doubt I really want to do that for a long while, if ever. The S O is way more assertive then I am, and her mild anxiety can be annoying... but since we are in the same field and both grad students, we have alot in common... the most important thing she does is understand my nature and my need for alone time... and while we have had one argument about this, and how much time I need alone; that said it makes me happy to be with her and be understood, I still flirt and get enamored with other chics as friends, but know that it is not going anywhere, just like to flirt... and one can sense when it is going somewhere or when it might be taken out of context, so I watch what that as well. Have never cheated, cause that takes too much work and energy. Just not me anyway. But yeah, I do like this much better than being alone.

Sorry for the partial hijack...

Yeah, I read posts here all the time and think "Wow, I'm a lucky bastard." I'm so far removed from the rest of the world that I don't know what 'normal' is. I AM a lucky man.

But "depression" has no rules, I guess. I don't know. I think it's physical. I may never bench press 600 pounds. Ever.

ha jk about that last part. I'm not insane!! Hey, I'm still funny, damnit!

It's one thing to be lonely when your not with anybody, but quite another to feel alone when you are with someone.......

Not speaking directly to you, but anyone with problems like this will not go away unless you communicate with your SO. Nothing will change. Nothing. Communication. It's not that simple, but it's impossible without it. Sorry to hear man. Good luck.
