i was a stay at home mom but i decided to let hubby bond with the baby and not work so hard so i work part time now! i love it..of course i miss my kids but for some f'd up reason i love my job..i call home almost every night and i show there pics to any and every one...its good to stop them from being too attached...my oldest had the worst seperation anxiety i have ever seen...

I used to work in Telecomms (offshore rigs), not on the platfform, though did have a lot of friends running the tools... It was all directional and deep drilling at the time. Good times, here are some pics from that:

nope, I used to work there. This was back in 97-99 as I started my career in this field. I then moved on to Project Management (from my experience working offshore) and never looked back... you learned A LOT very fast working in such an environment.. there's not much room to fuck things up

cool offshore always wanted to try that. i wa going to go work on Hibernia the offshore right off newfoundland.

I would LOVE to get back at work, but you know how it is - nobody to watch the kids and we cant switch with hubby cause he works 6 days 10 hours mandatory and he gone from 4pm to 6:30am....I had a good job before I had to leave it - customer service at a phone company...

ohhh my...er that is rough...eventually i will go for my rn and i want to be in the birthing center......is the rn program 10 times harder than the lpn program?
 
I have one more year left at Uconn - management engineering

This summer I'm a kids sports camp director during the week and landscaper on the weekends. I get paid good money to play football with kids, I love it.

I also sell custom performance car parts on ebay.

Not really...most LPN's I know wish they had gone ahead and went into a RN program...opens many doors.

ohhh dunk get me a good deal on phone and internet...lol....they had my plans all messed up i was p.o'd....i had the freedom and then i mentioned that i wanted the low income discount about 6 months ago and the fool that i spoke with took my freedom packet away then i never did the low income thing cause i went back to work after i had my son and some lady called me yesterday to offer it to me...i had no clue i was mad!!!!!!!

I have a good friend now living in Stuttgart who was there for 3 years... they couldn't take it anymore, he was newlywed and the wife was not happy at all with the schedule: 3 weeks on, 3 weeks off...

During the weeks off, the would go to the States and shit, but whe he was on-duty... shit, the wife had shit to do... and Newfoundland is not really known for the entertaining possibilities...

i would rather do rn...most places around here are mainly looking for rn....nursing homes do mostly lpns......

i deal with high end business. Not residential.

you dont live in NY do you? Thats my area. Cant do anything out of state.

That was in Venezuela, off the Caribean sea coast... actually where the Orinoco river ends... from there you can see Trinidad (where I also worked, but they had very strong anti-pics policies for the offshore locations)

We used to fish off the rig some nights... then the company man would come ang gives us HELL about HSE... damn, those were fun times

I am a geologist

My title: Unconventional Natural Gas Reservoir Analysis Engineer (field Engineer)

Basically my company analyzes unconventional natural gas reservoirs to determine production volumes and producability. I work on drilling rigs and do some independent down hole test work.

Hells yeah, with 50,000 gallons of lube you can get a couple of miles in and out of the hole. Just have to watch out for when it pressures up and you have a blow out. :evil:
