A koi fish swiming past a lotus flower on my shoulder up my trap to the middle of my neck just below the neck line. I did some research into koi's and there are tons of variations and I want it colored in like a Shusui koi, pale blue and pale gold.

Some of my friends think this is stupid.

does this tat mean something to you? i've been thinking hard about something to wrap around the upper portion of my calf

something along the lines of a cross with fig leaves around it with my grandfather's name (he had fig trees in his garden), birth/death dates, italian/american flag and the words "forever in my heart" in italian

Koi are symbols of good luck/fortunes. If done by a good artist they are some of the best looking tatts around. Just make sure that it has some personal meaning to it aside from it's inherent meaning.
