btw, "me" is not an option.

Make a Wish!

I sent a kid and his dad to a WWE pay per view in San Diego. They had front row, ring side seats and they got to keep their chairs as they had wrestlers pictures on them with autographs. Best money I ever spent!

Probably one of the cancer ones, I'd have to research into which one though.
But most likely the American Cancer Society.

TITCR, they have a low tooth to tail ratio too. That means they spend a high ratio of the money on the kids as opposed to supporting the charity.

Humane society. My brother and I buy food, blankets, leashes, etc each year around christmas time instead of buying each other gifts. I try and make it down there once a week to walk dogs too, I missed last week though :(

Yep, something to do with researching cures for diseases, like the Davis Phinney foundation, or something to do with alzheimers, parkinsons or cancer.

I cant see myself doing this. Out of the major diseases that were around when my grandfather was born till now. How many of them have the even come close to finding a cure for. Most of them even if they did the drug companies would cover it up any way.

How many do you think they will cure in the next 100 years?

the salvation army is great imo. mostly volunteers, helped lots of people around me (and me in my student days on fancy dress party nights lol). great organization :)

Give a child a smile.

It was a charity that I used to give to back home. It gave clothes and shelter for the orphans.

I watched my favorite person in the world die from lung cancer when I was 8. Left a hell of an impression on me.

+1. animals are the best. if i was wealthy, i'd do alot to help animal cauases

puddles is a good bro

(mark it, the one post i don't bust his balls)

i would either donate to an animal charity, like the humane society or adopt a family at the holiday (I do this now). if you heard some of their stories, it's heart breaking.

Like a mother with 4 kids who lived in a nice house with her husband, and then her husband left her and doesn't pay support, so she's lost her house and taken on 2 jobs to pay the bills... and then came down with some disease and now doesn't have any money to buy her kids anything.

Erskine Veteran's Home for Scotland's ex-armed forces personnel injured in the line of duty anywhere from WW2 to Afghanistan.

Or pretty much any charity aimed at the armed forces; RBL / Help for Heroes / Combat Stress etc

I start to sob every time the ASPCA commercial comes on, I have to change the channel or walk away. Ever watch the animal cop shows on animal planet - sigh - what people do to animals is heart breaking.

the rotary foundation. . .among our various projects, we are eradicting the world of polio. . .yes, it still exists. . .but we are down to 4 countries and, as soon as all the cases in those countries are dealt with, polio will no longer exist. . .period. . .

I can barely watch that show. it makes me sick.

my mom donates a ton of money to animal rescue foundations (reputable good ones).

Shriners. I make donations to several kid oriented charities. The Childrens Burn Foundation is another one of my fav's.

I donate when i see real people in need in front of me who NEED it

I paid for someones hotel for 3 days this week so they could wash up, and rest inside instead of on the street and maybe try to get a job.

Nature Conservancy
World Wildlife
Audobon

More focused on nature than people. We can take care of ourselves.

My biological father died of lung cancer when I was in my twenties. That is a nasty way to go.

my mother in law has Parkinson's disease and she use to shake REAL bad. she had 2 brain surgeries where they put these electrodes in each side of her brain with a remote control to adjust it and it completely stopped the shaking.

I heard it was so germans could have "SS" in their names without the stigma of the "SS".
