It just depends on where you are going in Mexico and how much you plan to buy. More gear you get the cheaper you will get it for.

$30.00 sounds about right, but the more you buy, the cheaper it gets. But if you have not been down to visit mex. since 911 it looks a little different at customs.

i went to nuevo laredo 3 months ago and am going back very very soon... me and 2 buds walked rite across with sacks in our hands and a couple of bottles of liquor the first time, the second time we had a few things and they asked us what we bought, then asked us to empty our pockets, and then were on our marry way.. just dont get too greedy with the amount of gear u are attempting to bring in, keep it at a personal supply level and it really isn't that hard to get it across..

I just got back from TJ last week, you definately want to go to more than one shop, they are all in competition with eachother and will meet or beat others prices. On that note, they also know what they have and what its really worth to you. PM me if you want a few prices i saw.
