Just go to the ER and scream bloody murder, get all freaked out, make them all nervous and create a commotion, then say "OOH, the PAIN, the PAIN!! Someone please hit me, KNOCK ME OUT, Oh the pain!!" Just drive the nurse and the er docs nuts and then ask for a pain pill, guarantee they'll give it to you to shut you up, its flawless.
Oh, I did the same thing when I was younger, I had a stun gun and was shocking my buddy with it. He talked me into letting him see it promising he sweared he wouldnt retaliate, so I grabbed a big knife and said you shock me with it, Ill cut ya!! Like an idiot I gave it to him, he immediately goes after me with so Im like fuck, Im not really going to slice him open so I run down the hallway into my bedroom. Knife catches on the doorway, hand slides forward down the blade.
Cut my finger to the bone, sorta like sliding down a forty foot razor blade. Didnt hurt though, your cut is prolly alot less clean than mine. Had to get stitches though, antibiotics at the ER, they were all laughing when I told the story of how it happened

that really sucks. i see stuff like that all the time at work. it is too easy to hurt yourself with power tools if you aren't careful. just superglue the cut together if you don't think it needs stitches. trust me it works.

Damn bor, hope you heal up soon. Get that checked out to make sure that you didn't cut any tendons or ligaments!

Ow!

I got the end of my left index finger with a table saw about 25 years ago.

Problem with table saws is that the width of the saw blade ensures that you don't get a neat clean wound, too much tissue is removed. It doesn't slice, it channels its way through, so things don't always grow back properly. I had a nice 1/8" wide furrow in the end of my fingertip. The doctor didn't want to use stitches to close it up because then it would heal wrong, so he bandaged it with the wound held open. It mostly filled in. Mostly. I can still remember when the scab was flaking off, and I lost a few parts that I was hoping to keep.

fortunately you've decided to downsize and cut heavy upper body training
a cut of that magnitude on a finger could hamper heavy lifting

DUDE wtf are u crazy? why waste his vicodens when you can just show the dr ur falling off-finger, complain of pain and get ur own script?

Because if you have been paying attention here i have been swamped with Dr bills & i sure don't need anymore!

If it heals straight ... will it look like you are always asking a question or wanting to go to the head?

Kidding aside ... do have a Doc look at it for tendon damage and prevention of infection.

Thanks for the concern but i think i'll ride this one out!

damn man...things like this i hear about are the reason i NEVER use powertools...the other day i had to cut down REALLY thick branches off of a tree outside...tried every kind of tool before i got out the electric saw...it was the only thing strong enough to take out the branches scared me the hell to death...the branches were so thick so the saw kept shaking my hand SO much like almost making me drop it...and my legs (obviously) were under my body so they could get cut like hell and my dad was holding the ladder (coulda cut his head off i guess) but i kept stopping it n getting a better grip as it kept slipping :worried:

I posted that story a few yrs back and everyone said the same ,even my wife said i was crazy and wanted no part of it ,she left the room.I mentionted to her that a timber wolf will knaw off its own leg to free it self from a trap is the pain gets bad enough,

A few months later my Dentist bought a surround system from us I showed him what happened and he agreed that i did a pretty good job! :)
