cannabis sativa=strong up active high
cannabis indica=strong relaxing happy high
 
Well what ever the heck Ive been smoking gives me crazy pumps lol.Dont know much about what kind it is just know it only takes a toke or 2 and $10 last me over a month so well worth the investment.Works better than efedra for me.

Marijuana is marijuana, no matter what the strain is the effects are basically the same despite what you've heard. No marijuana is going to make you active like coccaine would or another drug, it's a mild hallucinogen. If you smoke bongs right before your workout I doubt you're very serious about your training.

I used to smoke but don't any more. I used to smoke (a couple of hits) before I left my house to go to the gym I had a 20 minute drive to the gym and when I got there I was so fucking tuned in it was on I would train like a wild man. I always train as hard as I can but when I smoked I would be much more focused. My training partner thought I was crazy but he tried it and agreed it worked for him to.

have a bowl of sativa and then a bowl of indica and get back to me on that. there IS most definitely a BIG difference between sativa and indica.

they're not different strains, they're different species.

it's like saying protein is protein, it doesn't matter where it comes from its the same.

You know where the word hashish comes from? the arabic/farsi (can't remember) word for assassin. Because cats would smoke up and then murder people.

do you believe all the stupid shit the media says about gear? then why believe all the stupid shit the media says about weed.
 
Okay, first of all, I love smokin weed. I am a high strung person by nature, and it just sooooo mellows me out.

I gotta call it like I see it though. It's so much worse for you than tobacco. And guys who use it before workouts, I don't consider serious. I used to smoke it all day every day in my late teens and early 20's, and even though I wasn't as serious about the the iron lifestyle back then, I NEVER smoked before a workout. NEVER at all at any point in the day before a workout.

Yeah, it will help you eat like a wild beast, but for me, I crave sweets and want to devour everything in sight. Then it males me want to go to sleep an hour or so later, although that wasn't the always the case, but it is now-a-days for the most part. I may smoke 1-2x a week now, but it's usually later at night a few hours before bed. I should mention if you have trouble sleeping from juice or related drugs, weed will help put you to sleep.

That's my take on it maaaan. :rasta:

You're on the right track bro. At least one study has shown that marijuana actually increases metabolism. Yes, it can increase appetite for some people, and works wonder for those with appetite killing diseases. But, I must ask everybody, do you see more skinny or more fat potheads?
 
Here are some facts on the weed issue:

1.) The effects we feel from marijuana come, at least primarily, from molocules that have an affinity for anandamide receptors. We get that word from the sanskrit, ananda, meaning, "to give pleasure."

2.) The most common psychotropic substance in marijuana is delta-9 tetrahydracanabinol (THC).

3.) The effects of marijuana vary widely from person to person. With some people it acts like a sedative, in some a stimulant; it can even induce symptoms of acute paranoid schizophrenia in some poor souls.

4.) I know a good deal of high level athletes who smoke before work outs with good results (discerning if the results are, "good" by the quality of their work outs and the quality of their competition). Indeed, I know of several who compete and consistently win while under the influence of the herb. You can say up and down that it's the placebo effect, but there's a lot of data to suggest that, in some individuals, marijuana can actually increase concentration.

5.) A life time friend who's a Navy SEAL (team 3) informed me that many of the SEALs in his platoon smoke before nightime operations to increase sensoryperception and focus.

It is the heightened sensory perception that makes my workouts better after a smoke. It's hard to explain but after a little toke (not a big one!) I can 'feel' my muscles contract more and I feel like I can squeeze them that much harder. It's very hard to explain. I can actually curl heavier weights after a smoke as i can contract my bi's harder and for more reps. Sounds weird, I know.

Please don't flame me if you are a cannabis hater, I'm just passing on my own experience and, for the record, I don't take it often and in small doses when I do.
