We lost a guy at work yesterday

The wreck was about 1 mile from our location, which is about 75 miles from the nearest town. We are in the badlands in North Dakota. We were closest to the accident. No one else wanted to check on him. I could not have just let him wait there for nearly 2 hours and later found out he still had a pulse.
well thats fucked. thinking about it, i bet i would be the one doing it also

your company should pay for counselling. go to it, even if you think nothing is wrong. some people are impacted and dont realise

cheers

what's really cool is picking up the litter after someone has collided with a semi head-on
or crossed the interstate in a head-on
or left the road at 180 in a Ferrari

I have this friend who's a paramedic. About two years ago, she spent some time in counselling. I never bothered to ask her why. Then one day she told me.

Apparently, there's this rule that says if the head is completely severed, the paramedic (usually the junior one) on the scene is required to give mouth to mouth.

One day, her and her partner (the senior one) came across a suicide victim (shotgun blast). The head was attached by a sliver of skin. By law, she gave mouth to mouth and then spent the next few months with a counsellor.

We're eating a the Golden Griddle as she's telling me this and ends the conversation with "are you going to finish those eggs?" Suffice it to say, I wasn't.

Sorry to hear bro. I've went biking out that way several times, the roads are as he says too

Sorry to hear that C. Things like that do change your perspective.

The worst mistake I ever made was getting some counseling.

Why do people think that counseling will make things better?

Ya'lls perspective on life differs greatly than that of the wilderness roughneck. Those guys eat nails when the food supply runs low.
