I have this friend who's a paramedic. About two years ago, she spent some time in counselling. I never bothered to ask her why. Then one day she told me.
Apparently, there's this rule that says if the head is completely severed, the paramedic (usually the junior one) on the scene is required to give mouth to mouth.
One day, her and her partner (the senior one) came across a suicide victim (shotgun blast). The head was attached by a sliver of skin. By law, she gave mouth to mouth and then spent the next few months with a counsellor.
We're eating a the Golden Griddle as she's telling me this and ends the conversation with "are you going to finish those eggs?" Suffice it to say, I wasn't.
