Wasting gear?

Mr. Maximus

ok i was wondering how many of you change out the needle afer sucking your gear out to the proper amount. and if so do you lose any gear that is left in the needle that you took off? thanks guys.

just draw a lil past, put the new needle on and push out any airbubbles. You're going to loose a tiny amount, but nothing to worry about.

If you don't change to a new pin you will definitely feel it when you try to push a dull needle through your skin.

Once you have filled the syringe to the proper amount, hold it needle pointing up and draw the plunger back to let some air in. That empties the needle.

Then swap to a new needle and push the plunger forward until a small drop of oil appears on the end of the pin. The drop of oil will help lubricate the needle as it enters.

BTW, when you inject there is always gear left in the needle that can't be pushed out. So the smaller the needle you use, the less waste there will be.

Bingo always use a new pin to extract, and again a new one when you are ready to inject. Needles are so cheap there is no reason why anyone should not be doing this.

I leave a tiny air bubble when i draw, then holding the needle upward i use the air to squeeze a tiny amount out (a drop or two) i allow this to run down the needle rotating as i do it, to lubricate the shaft of the needle, makes a much smoother inject plus the air gets all the juice out.

This is a thread of absolute minimalities. That is not even a word, but let me explain. The amount of gear left in the needle is so minimal that if you were to add it all up from all your shots during your cycle it would maybe = 1/5 of a ml. Nothing to worry about. And the amount that you "feel" if you do not change your needle from loading to injecting is also about as minimal as they come. Sure, if you want the sharpest needle possible to inject then go ahead. They are cheap, so why not. But is this necessary? Absolutely not. Don't believe me? Go to the doctor and watch them prepare any injection. They do not change the needle.
