Was I wrong to call my mothers Pastor to ask if he could visit her at home?

that was the right thing to do. you would regret it if you didn't. hom big or how many members are there at the church?

it's suprising nobody put in a prayer request for her and he didn't take the inititiave to see how she is.

I dont understand how you are so upbeat on here all the time with having to deal with that, damn man

Thank you, Dave!! I've learned through life that if you are a genuine person and treat others with admiration and respect that it always comes back to you in a positive light! I pride myself on having a kind heart!

You guys have brought tears to my eyes with your kind words of encouragement! Thank you!

You probably learned a lot of your attributes from your mom.

My dad's entire illness including hospice was only about 2 weeks, but in that time I heard him tell my mom that he was glad that I was there for him. Probably the only part of the experience that I could derive any solace from.

It's time for you to step up and give all that you got. I know your mom will be proud.

Thank you Pick! And I will take your advice!

Pastors/Priests visit parishoners in the hospital or at home when they are ill all the time...it's part of their job. I'm sure he's thankful that you informed him.

It was a good thing you did there.

Sorry about your mom. My dad's decline started in 2003. The last year or so was pretty rough on him. Not easy on the rest of us either. He passed in May of 2009.

I look at it as, at least I had all that extra time as opposed to if he had passed suddenly. He was also around for the birth of my son, but just missed his first birthday.

Cherish the time you have with her.
